More of a Commuter Pack but Gets the Job Done

I have the women’s version of this pack (66L as opposed to 28L) and while it works great for trekking across campus in a rainstorm due to it’s water resistant coating, I’m thinking about getting something different for day hikes. The biggest drawback against this as a true hiking pack for me is the lack of a hip strap. Entirely a matter of preference, but I prefer my hiking packs to be more secure against my back so the weight doesn’t shift as much. However as a commuter or a school pack it’s unbeatable: interior pockets for laptops and iPads, two deep water bottle pockets, organization pockets in the smaller pocket and a convenient vertical zip compartment for stashing a rain jacket or something else reasonably flat.
