The Women's Fitz Roy Down Parka is the warmest insulation piece in Patagonia's line, designed for the most frigid alpine adventures. Not only does the 800-fill down insulation provide lightweight, reliable warmth, but it's also responsibly sourced to ensure that the birds aren't force-fed or live-plucked. Fully baffled construction works to keep the down in place for efficient, long-lasting warmth, and the durable, water-repellent face-fabric fends off light drizzles and unexpected flurries.
To further add to the Fitz Roy's competence in harsh mountain environments, Patagonia added a series of practical features. The helmet-compatible hood is easily adjustable with a single pull, and is baffled to lock in your body's precious heat. Low-profile elastic cuffs keep your sleeves secure as you're reaching up to place a piece of gear, and they also prevent bunching if you need to throw on a shell. Two zippered handwarmer pockets are placed high so you can easily access your essentials even when wearing a harness or backpack. Inside the jacket, you'll find two large mesh drop pocket for added storage. An adjustable drop-tail hem completes the package by sealing out the cold air and providing extra coverage.
