Hello world

How are you today?

Not just for backpacking

I bought my JetBoil on an REI clearance sale and couldn’t be happier. Having done very little research, I was impressed with the usability, durability, and small touches it offered. It’s made it’s way into not only my backpacking kit, but had found its way on car camping trips, overnight shifts in the animal ER and heating up coffee at the trailhead before a hike. Also...you can cook an entire box of Kraft Mac and Cheese in it...if that’s not what you call winning, I don’t know what is. Note: some canisters of butane don’t fit into the actual jetboil canister for packing, so make sure to but the small size if you’re trying to save space.

Jetboil

Super compact, light and user friendly! One tip I would suggest, is to pack a lighter with you. Sometimes the igniter on the jet boil doesn’t work on the first try; which will leave you clicking it multiple times, before it turns on. Other than that, it’s an amazing product and part of my backpacking essentials!

A nifty little device that allows you to boil water in under a minute and shields the flame from wind. These are great for saving fuel on day trips and multi day hikes - the design of the system prevents wastage. All the components fit inside the container when not using If you get a small canister of fuel and comes with a cosy to allow you to pick it up while hot !!

Jetboil zip cooking system

Absolutely loved this piece of equipment. Lightweight, easy to carry, fit perfectly in a pack for camping and boiled water in about a minute and a half. All pieces fold up and fit inside the container. The fuel tank comes in a variety of sizes, we used the medium size which provides approximately 55 boils.
