Product Questions

John H.  John H.: Hi everyone! I'm really curious about this tent. I live in the PNW where it rains a lot and I need something that stays dry. I also really like rain flies with bigger vestibules to keep gear dry. Have you had experience using it in the rain? Thanks so much!
Rachael R.  Rachael R.: Hey there John! I've had a lot of experience using it in the rain on my thru-hike of the AT in 2018. It faired pretty well although I did experience some leaking which I fixed by seam sealing the tent with seam seal tape I got while on trail at Walmart and also re-waterproofed it with waterproofing silicone spray. After I did that I had no more issues with leaks. I had no issues with it ripping or anything during any tough storms. I would definitely recommend this tent for you, although perhaps doing a little after-care to ensure it keeps you dry. :-) Hope this helps! - Rachael - AKA Blade

Product Reviews

We have the 4 person version of this amazing tent. It is light and roomy and honestly such a great investment for our family! We recently did a 4 day backpack with our toddler and it was easy to pack and carry in my backpack along with all my other gear. I think it’s worth the weight if you want a family backpacking tent!

I loved my 1 person version of this tent. It was super light and roomy and held up great during storms. I love that it's free standing and if you also purchase the footprint you can set up the rain fly first and then attach the bathtub mesh from underneath, keeping it dry. I did waterproof it with silicone spray about 700 miles into my hike and also did some seam sealing because of a few leaks, but overall it really performed well during a wet 2200 miles on the AT.

This is a fantastic tent for soloing and comfy enough for 2 people. This has been my favorite tent for 3 years! Lightweight, durable and very easy to set up. Stays dry on the inside during rain and packs super small.
