The North Face Sprout Backpack - Kid's
We take this everywhere!
A good friend of mine recently handed down this pack because they have two. My toddler comfortably wears this pack, but I also use it as a purse when she’s not using it! It has a crazy amount of space inside, so I can even use it as a diaper bag for shorter day trips out and about. The mesh pockets on the side hold sippy cups perfectly. I have the older version, with one big pocket, and a small mesh inside. One of my fave features is the handle outs has on the front; makes it easy to grab the kiddo if necessary, or to give her a little extra lift on those big steps/rocks. Let me know your questions!
Piggyback Rider Scout Bundle: Toddler Carrier, Safety Harness & 6 Accessories
Convenient and well designed!
I usually carry little girl in a Chicco kid carrier backpack, but now that she’s a big toddler, she wants to walk more often and for longer periods of time. Not to mention she is HEAVY. PiggyBack Rider is very new to us, but so far we l.o.v.e. this thing. Her weight is so well distributed, she seems ten pounds lighter on my back. She has a much better view point to take in the world around her. She was pretty nervous at first since it’s a very open concept design. We had to watch quite a few videos of other kids her age riding and NOT falling off, as well as practice around the house for short periods of time. Her legs/knees do get a little tired during a long ride, but we’re still figuring things out. Another plus is that I can fit a small back pack between us, or she can even wear her North Face Sprout (see other review😉)! The bundle comes with plenty of other storage options; I have a hip bag, a D ring, selfie stick holder, and water bottle clip! The back of my harness even has a little zipper pocket, and the whole thing comes in an excellent drawstring backpack for easy storage and tow. We did also get a mud flap and the optional hip belt. At first we used the hip belt (I have weak hips), but I have found that without the hip belt, she feels more comfortable and so do my hips! Please let me know if you have questions!
Osprey Aura AG 50L Backpack
Great beginner pack!
Took this pack (lavender and grey) on my second overnight trip to Lake Ingalls in Mt Rainier NP. SO comfortable and supportive. The frame and “antigravity” mesh really keeps your back cool and comfy. It comes with a rain cover that I’ve never had to use. Tons of pockets and clips. Pack strategically so you won’t have to dig all the way down for what you need. I’m 5’5” with a pretty short torso and an arched back, and I was able to get all the adjustments just where I needed them. On trail it’s very easy to readjust if needed.
