Myself and my family live in a 5th wheel RV and absolutely love travel/hiking/camping/anything outdoors. Every chance we get, we are exploring a new place. We have 3 boys and a vizsla and being active is our life!
DJI Mavic Air Drone
Perfect Pocket Drone
Before I bought this drone I read about a million reviews. I went between this one and the DJI Spark quite a few times. For the price difference and the amount of upgraded features, go with this one! I have been nothing but amazed at the quality this little guy produces. The intelligent flight modes are absolutely phenomenal, and it follows so seamlessly. If you DO go with this drone though, I would recommend buying a set of ND filters to go with it. Just like with all photography, the shutter speed makes a huge difference with seamlessness of the video depending on how many FPS you are shooting at, which makes the filters necessary. We hike with 3 younger kids on a weekly basis, and this drone is so lightweight and compact that I take it everywhere with me in my day bag and can't even tell it is there. It has great object avoidance features, and has been perfect for us to get good videos without hitting a tree. n
Osprey Poco AG 20L Kid Carrier
Essential for Hikers with Small Kids
I absolutely loved this backpack. We had one for almost 3 years and it went through 2 boys. The craftmanship is second to none and it really held up to the tough activities we put it through. The inside portion where your child sits is adjustable and it is great for babies no matter how fat or skinny their little legs are. It was so comfortable for the kids that if they ever needed a nap and we were having a hard time getting them down, we would stick them in the poco and take a walk. The sunshade makes them look like royalty riding on top as well. We have tried many different brands of bags, I will never stray from Osprey from this point on. Awesome back support and fully adjustable. Both myself and my husband wore it with no issues. are.
Kelty Salida 4 Person Tent
Perfect for the Active Family
We have had this tent for 5 years now. It is perfect for our family of 5 and a dog. We have 3 boys (9,4&3) and a vizsla and find we have plenty of room even though it is only a 4 person tent. We occasionally even manage to fit grandma in comfortably. We bought the larger 8 person tent to accommodate our family, but we still go back to this tent. The setup is a breeze... our 9 year old can put it up on his own. The material is high quality and has stood up in 35 mph gusts on top of a mountain. It is well insulated in the tent for cold nights, and during warmer nights, the rain fly comes off quite easily to let in cool air. It is super light weight and compact, which is awes. We can fit this tent in our day bags with no issues and tote it to wherever we are headed. All in all, this really is the perfect tent!
GRAYL Ultralight Water Purifier
Jesus Would Be Jealous
This Ultralight Water Purifier is truly the 'Grayl' of water purifiers turning yucky, discolored water in to clear, drinkable water anywhere you go. It works at altitude unlike the steripens, it removes debris and has 3 filtration systems that actually leave the water you filter tasting good. I bought 2 of these for my husband and myself on our trip to South America and we used them every day. I still use mine on a regular basis just hiking here in the US. With 3 kids and a dog, these help us stay lightweight by not having to carry water with us (as long as there is some source of fresh water close by).
