Patagonia Down Sweater Jacket - Women's
Necessary Layering Piece
Down sweaters are my favorite article that Patagonia makes. The one I have is hooded. They not only look great, are but great worn alone on temperate days (40-60'F) and layered under a shell for colder or windy hiking days. I love to bring them camping when it's cold as an insulating layer. Since it is down, it packs down very small into a zipped pouch along the zipper seam on the interior of the jacket. Honestly, a must-have for any camper!
Blundstone Original 500 Boot
High - Arches beware!
Blundstones are great, durable shoes that shift very well between casual and utility. Spacious toebox, and flexible sides assist in ease of getting them on and off your feet with "tongues"/tabs on both the front and the back. Mine did require a breaking in period as I do have high arches and therefore my foot pushed a bit against the top of the shoe, making it uncomfortable until the leather stretched out. Overall, though, wonderful for casual cool days with thick socks!
Big Agnes Roxy Ann 15 Down Sleeping Bag
Must Be Used as System - Read!
I love this sleeping bag. It's cozy, it's spacious, it's kept me warm in super low temps. When I initially purchased it, I didn't realize that it had to be used as a system. This means that the "back"/"bottom" of the sleeping bag does not have insulation, and must be used with a square shaped sleeping pad. Normally not an issue, but my sleeping pad originally was a mummy-shape, so I had to purchase a different sleeping pad for it. Now that I have the entire "system" (pad + bag), this is an amazing sleeping bag that I love so much.

Altra Lone Peak 3.5 Trail Running Shoes
Like Running on a Cloud
Although I'm not much of a trail-runner, I was recommended Altra LonePeaks for hiking by a friend of mine who trailruns and swears by them. It only took one hike to fall in love. They are true to size and feature a spacious toe-box - perfect for those with wide feet, or those whos' feet swell when hiking. They are incredibly lightweight and have great traction. Perfect for a day hike!
