REI Midweight Base Layer Half-Zip Top - Women's

REI Midweight Base Layer Half-Zip Top - Women's My Review

Best base layer I own! I have alot of lighterweight layers but the midweight I use more frequently for climbing and skiing because its significantly warmer. I wore it nearly everyday in Nepal at High Altitude and I wear it practically every time I go skiing.

La Sportiva Primer Surround GTX Hiking Shoes - Women's

La Sportiva Primer Surround GTX Hiking Shoes - Women's My Review

I seriously wish I had like 5 pairs of these! They are the comfiest hiking shoe I have ever owned. Lightweight while still very HQ. Gortex waterproofing I could literally walk in streams without getting wet (as long as the water line was shallower than my ankles of course) and I put several hundreds of miles on these before needing to replace them. And the tread was still in great condition, it was the insides I had worn down after what was probably close to a thousand miles of hiking. I never really had to break them in, and they never gave me hotspots or blisters!!! They got me to Everest Base Camp and then some! I love La Sportiva for footwear. I have never been disappointed. 😁

Chaco Z/2 Classic Sandals - Women's

Chaco Z/2 Classic Sandals - Women's My Review

I love the thinner double strap Chaco over the thick single strap! I think they are cuter but it is all peraonal preference. I will say as much as I think the big toe loop makes the sandal more attractive, on both my single strap and double strap it would always get tight and I would try to loosen it every time and seemed to make no difference. For my next pair I plan to get the style without the toe strap. I have these in 2 very different sizes and have found that interestingly enough my 7Wide in womens fits better than my 8 1/2 regular. My 8 1/2 will give me hot spots in my arch but I have backpacked over 20 miles straight in my 7 wides no problem. So with that being said make sure you have the best size for YOUR feet to have the best experience!

Black Diamond FreeWire Quickdraw

Black Diamond FreeWire Quickdraw My Review

Great easy to use Quickdraws. These aones are a little heavier than my others but the spring cages are easier to clip in with and they are incredibly strong

ABC Ascender (Right HAND)

ABC Ascender (Right HAND) My Review

These did not come with instructions but if you know how to use an ascender already than it is incredibly easy! I feel incredibly safe with this on a line. The teeth on the mechanism are incredibly strong I felt like I could hang off of it on the rope on its own! As long as your rope is dry and free of ice you will have no problems! (Ice on any rope with any ascender is no bueno)

REI Midweight Base Layer Tights - Women's

REI Midweight Base Layer Tights - Women's My Review

Best base layer I own! These are my go-to pants I wear under my snowpants for skiing! They are super comfy and warm. It took me over 5 years to wear a hole in the inner thigh wearing them a couple days a week in the winter and randomly lounging around the house or while camping in the spring/summer/fall. I love that REI still makes them because they seem to be everyone's go-to base layer!

Marmot Trestles 0 Sleeping Bag: 0 Degree Synthetic

Marmot Trestles 0 Sleeping Bag: 0 Degree Synthetic My Review

SO WARM! Almost too warm if its not cold enough outside! This is a zero degree Fahrenheit bag. Pay attention. Some day zero degree Celsius. I have tested this bag to about -10°F and was still comfortable. The lower the degree, typically the more expensive the bag but I felt like this was a steal for the quality!

REI Kornati Roll-Up Pants - Women's

REI Kornati Roll-Up Pants - Women's My Review

I wear these EVERYWHERE! I am shocked and glad they have not gotten worn out either! I have had these pants for over a year, I bought them for trekking in Nepal but I would wear them to work at least 3 times a week! Usually wearing the same pants that often I tend to wear tears in the inner thigh but these pants are going strong! They come in khaki, grey and black. Im getting more! They are the comfiest hiking pants ever and I really do wear them everywhere!

Black Diamond Raven Ice Axe

Black Diamond Raven Ice Axe My Review

Length of axe needed is based on height. This is going to be your standard basic mountaineering axe. This is meant to be used for glacier travel not ice climbing. You need curved ice axes for ice climbing.

Black Diamond Half Dome Helmet

Black Diamond Half Dome Helmet My Review

Comes in a couple different sizes but also has an adjustable fit, great climbing helmet for any head size!

Julbo Tamang Glacier Sunglasses

Julbo Tamang Glacier Sunglasses My Review

I love my Julbos! The Tamang glasses were the most affordable option for someone on a budget headed to the Himalayas. They are rated on a scale of 1-4 based on UV protection at altitude on snow and these are a category 4 which is the highest rating! They have visor protection at the rim by your cheeks to keep snow glare from coming up from underneath and they are SUPER COMFY! They work great at any altitude with snow. HIGHLY recommend!

Teva Olowahu Flip Flops - Women's

Teva Olowahu Flip Flops - Women's My Review

I have established quite the collection in various colors! These are way more supportive than your generic flip flop. The extra straps help you from gripping woth your toes so your feet can relax. The foam does wear over time like any shoe but its thicker and takes a while to wear. I wear these practically every day and usually within a year its time for new ones. (I know I shouldn't wear flip flops daily) but they are so cute and comfy!

Black Diamond Oz Quickpack

Black Diamond Oz Quickpack My Review

These are my favorite Quickdraws! They are incredibly light and easy to clip in!

Black Diamond Contact Strap Crampon

Black Diamond Contact Strap Crampon My Review

I snagged mine at a Black Diamond Garage sale! They are easy to attach for the most part but there is a trick to properly doing the strap so it doesnt get loose while climbing. You can youtube how to put them on, there are tons of videos out there just make sure to search for those with the straps.
