I started my outdoor career working at a canoe livery in southeast Indiana at the age of 15 and quickly became enamored with the endless possibilities that could be had working in the outdoors. At present, I’m on a roughly 1500 mile solo canoe trip from my own backyard on the Whitewater River, all the way down to New Orleans on the Mississippi River!
GoPro HERO7 Camera
Shoots Like A Champion
The GoPro HERO7 Black is a great little camera. It’s got a versatile array of mounting options and aftermarket support to up your videography game. This mighty little fellow has various modes, such as stabilized time-lapse video, slo-motion, burst shots, and nighttime photo, to name a few. All this in such a small, unobtrusive package. On my current trip , I manage to keep my GoPro charged up with a solar panel no bigger than an open book, and with clear skies I’ll have a full charge in a relatively short time! I would strongly recommend picking up a few spare batteries, as the charge on a single battery will only last about an hour and a half of constant use (in my experience). The best way to preserve battery life is to remove the battery when the camera is not in use! One of the best aspects of the GoPro HERO7 is how user friendly the system is. For anyone with little to no camera operation experience, the settings provide an explanation as to what effect they’ll have on the shot being made. Just about anyone can pick up this camera and capture great content!
